In this foundation course we will be learning the fundamentals of Character Animation and game development. (specifically for the Unreal engine, but this method will also work for other game engines such as Unity).
In this course, students will be taught how to break down reference and develop a list of reusable assets. With this list, students will then use both Maya and the Unreal Engine to create a fully realized environment with portfolio screenshots. ***This course is being added to weekly**** This is meant to be an fun, introductory course on the full 3D pipeline using Autodesk Maya, the premiere 3D content creation and animation software. This course is specifically meant for high school or above level students. We are going to be learning how to use Maya, we will start learning polygonal modeling, then we will learn texturing, rigging, animation, lighting and rendering.
You will become a universal specialist who can do everything in 3D: create objects and environments, adjust textures and colors, animate and embed models in a 3D scene. Master Houdini, Autodesk Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush, and Marmoset Toolbag and you will be able to qualify for jobs in advertising, games, or movies.
