Class101 – The Ultimate Portrait Drawing Course – Beginner to Advanced by Doop
Meike goes into detail about the various steps involved in drawing a female character, teaching fundamental principles that will take your art to the next level.
This class contains an entire 2-hour video focused on various aspects of costume drawing. It also includes about 2 hours of Will Weston’s LiveStream Costume Drawing Lecture filmed on January 17th, 2020.
Figure Composition & Story assumes you’re learning to draw figures for a reason. In this class, students learn to draw proportionally accurate but simple figures that can be drawn quickly and clearly. We then take a deep dive into figure composition as it’s used today in animation, film, game design, graphic novels, figurative painting and some children’s books. This is also a great foundational class for those interested in storyboarding.
This drawing workshop uses old submarine interiors, steam cars, tanks, pre WW1 flying machines, and 19th century dental and medical equipment as references allowing drawing students to portray character-filled man-made lab equipment, creepy lab furniture, and environments. Students learn to draw everything using cylinders (pipes & pipe fittings), balls, boxes, wire, and ropes, all exaggerated for clarity and expression. Students then scale
Digital Painting builds on lessons learned in Drawing for Composition, MAD SCIENCE & Composition for Film by taking skills learned in those classes and adding digital painting as the next stage in the process. This is a beginning to an intermediate class that provides a solid foundation in environmental painting techniques applicable to film, animation, and games.
Yishu Ci is joining us this month to take us through his process of creating characters through line drawing, and finalizing them with a simple colored render treatment.
This course is ideal for beginners! The commercial illustration course is taught by Oleg Gert. Works as an illustrator and art director for an international advertising agency. He has been drawing since childhood, graduated from art school with honors. Has been engaged in commercial illustration for about 10 years.
