. install Houdini houdini-19.5.303 from official site
. You must reinstall old version for server overide from houdini-19.5.303 to houdini-19.0.383.
. Open houdini-19.5.303 license sever as adminstrator’
. Run keygensetup as adminstrator wait till it patch keys(if failed.. generate keys).
. Copy Paste keys to houdini-19.5.303 license adminstrator houdini-19.5.303.

this crack does not work. i have installed 19.0.383 license admin and all the licenses have a red x next to them for 19.5. 19.0 licenses all still work.

  Try this:
  
  INSTRUCTIONS!

  After several tries, I found the following method working;
  
  1. Uninstall all previous versions of Houdini and their plugins.
  2. Delete directories c:\program files\sidefx and c:\users\yourname\documents\houdini*
  3. Boot your computer
  4. Install Houdini 19.0.383
  5. Run the licence server patch (do not install any serial numbers here!)
  6. Install Houdini 19.5.383 WITHOUT license server (we’re gonna use the patched one of 19.0.383). Reboot computer after installation
  7. Run Licence Administrator- utility to get you computer’s name and server code.
  8. Run Houdini 19.5.383’s key generator and enter the information you got at the phase (7) to get your serial numbers and put them somewhere save.
  9. DO NOT RUN THE LICENCE SERVER PATCH WHILE USING 19.5.383 KEY GENERATOR.
  10. Run Licence Administrator again and select option ‘manually install’ your new serial numbers.
  11. Reboot and start using Houdini 19.5.383

    I managed to find my issue last night. so i have a Chinese crack(its still x-force but it has no patch button it says ????????????QQ621537621?? where it should say patch and the button does nothing) i needed to find the correct crack which i did. it works now but it took me all day yesterday to figure it out. but thanks for the instructions. ps to anyone else who has this issue the 3 buttons at the bottom of your keygen should be
    
    Generate keys Patch License Daemon Close
    
    if those buttons say anything different the method described by Sonya will not work.

i need help please
i got this message after click Patch License Daemon
Found service at C:\Program Files\Side Effects Software\License Server\sesinetd.exe.
HoudiniLicenseServer service stopped.
Patching the public keys in sesinetd.exe...
Successfully patched 34 keys!
Failed to write patched file correctly....
Successfully restarted HoudiniLicenseServer
