Gumroad – DecalMachine 2.1

DECALmachine is a blender addon, which through mesh Decals, allows for surface detailing in a very non-committal, non-destructive, UV-less way. As such it represents an alternative approach to hard surface texturing.
In addition DECALmachine has deep Trim Sheet support, and supports Atlasing, as well as Baking to facilitate exporting to game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine etc.

Decals can be projected, sliced, created from grease pencil or edges. They can be material matched, and you can easily create your own.

Trims can be easily placed, cut, manipulated or removed - all directly in the 3D view.

DECALmachine 2.1 works with Blender 2.83/2.90/2.91!

Just a note.

This plug-in has been nothing but a pain for even a user who purchased it like me. Seems like this diplo twink named "Machine" is slow to update and fix even routine bugs in a timely fashion.

For a $50 plugin this is horrible. Anyway, I have bought this program and the "D" never brings up the menu since 2.83 and no response from the creator as usual. This did correct it for me as it is posted from another version of Decal Machine.


4. Go to your DecalMachine installation folder e.g;

C:\users\(your username)\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.90\scripts\addons\DECALmachine

5. Open up __init__.py in your text editor and search for the line and remove

core.update_check()

I did nothing else and it seem to fix the menu from coming up and working as normal. I have tested in even Blender 2.92 Beta and works. If your D key doesn't seem to trigger the pie menu in decal machine, even if nothing else is mapped to D in Blender delete the core check. It worked for me.
