In a related story from Volume 28, there is little doubt that I could have been a more mature pre-teen. But hello! What fun would that have been?? My other favorite neighborhood game was the old “ring ‘n’ run”! You quietly approach someone’s front door, (with your friends, of course) pound on the door and/or ring the bell a few times, and head for the bushes like your life depended on it! What a thrill!! Then when you watched the ticked-off home owner stand there looking around… oh that was the icing on the cake! Those were the good ol’ days.
